If you were wishing for live streaming of Kirtan from Golden Temple, Amritsar then this is the article for you! The SGPC has mentioned the method on their website itself.
Here’s the tutorial on how to do it:
- Download FStream from App Store.
- Install the app on your iPhone or iPod Touch & launch the app. Make sure Internet connection / Wi-Fi is active & you are getting a signal.
- Tap ‘Favorites’ at the bottom & then tap ‘Edit’ on top left.
- Tap the green plus sign next to ‘Add new webradio’.
- Type ‘Golden Temple’ in the Name field.
- Type ‘mms://sgpc.net/live’ in the URL field (without quotes) & tap ‘Save’ on the top right.
- Tap ‘Play’ at the bottom & then tap ‘Golden Temple’ from the radio stations list.
- Now tap ‘Play’ button (Play symbol).
- That’s it!
Now you can listen to the live Kirtan at 16kbps.

By Rajbir Singh on May 8th, 2009 at 10:39 pmthis was really helpful. do you know if live kirtan from dukh niwaran sahib (ludhiana) also has an app?
By student on June 15th, 2009 at 7:59 amHello,
You can add the URL “http://gdnsldh.net/GDNSLDH.m3u” (just like the method mentioned in the article) in Fstream and it should work. I haven’t tried it. Let me know how it goes.
Also, I guess, you can do that without any app if you upgrade the OS of your iPhone / iPod to 3.0. All you need to do is tap on the URL http://gdnsldh.net/GDNSLDH.m3u in Safari
OS 3.0 is releasing on June 17.
