Yeah. It does come with it a layer mask. I just figured if for some reason in CS2 or something there isn&#039;t a layer mask automatically created, one might have to do that. 

@Marco: I did mention Smart Filters. With CS3, when you hit the &quot;Convert for Smart Filters&quot; command in the filter menu, all it does is it makes it a smart object.
